Summer fades away
Cooler is the morning air –
The smell of coffee
Light from the full moon
In total serenity –
Prostrating on grass
Sitting on the step
In the brightness of morning –
Different bird songs
Paw prodding my head
When that fails, teeth sink in –
A sharp wake up call
Flawless morning sky
Echoes of hammer and wood –
Could Winter be dead?
Whilst sipping mint tea
A cliff facing the vast sea –
Morning mist rises
Birds singing outside
The light of day creeping in –
Nature’s alarm clock
The mornings are cold
Up the stairs, over the bridge
Two streetkids asleep
A constant beeping
Can be heard throughout my dream
Oh — damn alarm clock!
