Summer fades away
Cooler is the morning air –
The smell of coffee
Summer fades away
Cooler is the morning air –
The smell of coffee
Sweet and honey like
Greets me each morning and night –
Unsure of their name
Spring and Winter duel
Skirmishes of warmth and light –
Icy air resists
The light pink blossoms
Seem out of place amidst the
Cloudy barren grey
With the silver skies
I’ve accepted that –
Winter’s here awhile
Flawless morning sky
Echoes of hammer and wood –
Could Winter be dead?
On a speeding train
From windows, glimpses of fields –
A lone, barren tree
Clear blue skies above
The sound of an aeroplane
Taking in fresh air
Days of early Spring
Glorious bright sunny skies —
Cold, crisp breeze lingers
