When breaking the fast
As the sun heads to the west –
The sweet taste of dates
When breaking the fast
As the sun heads to the west –
The sweet taste of dates
Glistening in the Sun
Just larger than bleeding hearts –
Beak moist with nectar
Birds singing outside
The light of day creeping in –
Nature’s alarm clock
The sun is shining
Yet grey clouds are closing in
Time to go inside
Rising in the East
Peaks high above our heads
Setting in the West
Carefully picked spot
Cat sleeping in the garden
Caressed by the Sun
Silently rising —
Sand begins to change colour
Yet it remains cool
Chewing on bamboo
Without a care in the world —
The Sun slowly sinks
The Sun’s reflection
Rising on the skyscrapers
Warming steel structures
Its dark silhouette
Eagle soaring up above —
Sun now within sight
